Built from service, purpose, and a desire to help others.
Burros for Heroes Foundation, Inc. was created to support Veterans first, while also welcoming families, first responders, community partners, and rescued animals into a mission of connection, purpose, and humble service.
The foundation grew from a simple belief: sometimes healing, trust, and connection begin when life slows down. A quiet place, steady animals, honest conversation, and meaningful work can help people reconnect with themselves, their families, their communities, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Burros for Heroes is still growing, but the mission is clear. We are building a place where Veterans, families, first responders, volunteers, and community members can experience steady support, responsible animal care, and service that continues beyond uniform, title, or season of life.

William G Rogers
Retired U.S. Army Combat Veteran and founder of Burros for Heroes, focused on building a mission that serves Veterans, families, first responders, and rescued animals through humble service and meaningful connection.
Amie Rogers
Founding director and officer supporting the foundation through stewardship, organization, accountability, and steady service.
Ray Williams
Retired U.S. Army Combat Veteran and founding director supporting accountability, outreach, responsible growth, and mission development.
Why Burros
